Responsibilities

Design and analyze bridge structures, including preliminary design, detailed engineering, and construction documentation using industry-standard software and methodologies; Develop structural solutions for port and maritime infrastructure projects, including wharves, breakwaters, and marine facilities; Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, calculations, and technical specifications for project stakeholders and regulatory authorities; Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural requirements into overall project delivery; Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols; Perform site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing structures and identify design constraints; Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and environmental regulations

Requirements

Experience in structural engineering, with demonstrated expertise in bridge design and/or port infrastructure projects; Strong proficiency with structural analysis and design software; In-depth knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for structural design; Solid understanding of bridge engineering principles, including load analysis, material selection, and construction methodologies; Experience with port and maritime infrastructure design, including knowledge of hydraulic modeling and marine environmental considerations; Professional engineering license or eligibility for registration with Engineers Australia is preferred; Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in the Australian market is advantageous
