The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for direct management of the News Group Marketing budget and several other News Group HQ P&Ls. They will also have critical reporting and analysis responsibilities for the portfolio-wide News Group Capital budget. As an operational finance lead, this team member will partner with production executives to implement strategic initiatives, prepare & maintain budgetary commitments, and support daily operations. This role reports into the Sr. Director of Finance, NBC News Group.

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000

Responsibilities

Managing the P&Ls for the NBC News Marketing and News HQ departments (including preparing budgets, submitting regular financial pacing updates, partnering with production executives, and identifying risks and opportunities); Leading regular capital expenditure analyses to monitor investments in on-air production equipment, studio infrastructure, and digital product development; Partnering with technical leaders on a variety of strategic initiatives designed to streamline operations, manage cost, and enhance business decision-making; Preparing executive updates for senior management and distilling complex information into simple, actionable insights; Completing monthly close deliverables for all managed departments (including journal entries, variance analysis, headcount analysis, and balance sheet account reconciliations); Facilitating daily operations for all managed departments (including accounts payable transactions and T&E/PCard compliance)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.; 2+ years of relevant experience.; Excellent computer / analytical skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.; Proficient use of SAP/Business Warehouse/BPC or similar accounting software.; Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered.; Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week.
