We acquire iconic brands and transform them with Genesis, our operating platform combining a Data Fabric, Automation Engine, proprietary tools, and shared services to modernize operations, elevate customer experience, and expand margins. Responsibilities

CSC engineers build the Retail Service Cloud - a shared platform of APIs, SDKs, and microservices that powers operations across Backcountry, Sur La Table, One Kings Lane, Competitive Cyclist, MotoSport, and other portfolio brands.; The stack is TypeScript-first, AWS serverless, React frontend. Engineers own services end-to-end: design, build, ship, monitor.; What makes CSC engineering distinct: we treat AI as a first-class production concern, not a side project. Engineers here build systems where LLMs classify, generate, and decide at scale - with cost functions, confidence routing, and graduated autonomy. If you’ve never built production AI systems, that’s fine - but you should be excited to learn.; Develop well-designed, testable, and scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frameworks.; Explore and integrate AI tools to streamline development and improve user engagement.; Deliver new features and optimize existing experiences at speed and scale within an agile workflow.; Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.; Write and maintain unit tests and automated test suites to ensure code quality and reliability.; Partner closely with product, design, and back-end engineering to ship cohesive end-to-end features.; Stay current with the latest trends in front-end engineering, design patterns, and AI-driven development.

Requirements

5+ years building complex, high-performing web applications.; Deep expertise in React and JavaScript ES6/TypeScript.; Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and security best practices.; Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.; Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.; Excellent collaboration and communication abilities; Experience with AI technologies like Cursor AI, ChatGPT, Copilot , or similar tools to support Frontend development and user engagement strategies is a plus.

Nice to have

UX/UI design sensibilities and experience collaborating closely with design teams.; Functional programming experience.
