Senior Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

Build modern web applications that are responsive, performant, and accessible; Making key decisions on frontend architecture; Writing integration and unit tests; Learning the latest front-end technologies and standards to ensure we are always using the best tools and techniques possible; Drive creation and maintenance of API contracts between front-end and backend systems; Continuously improve our engineering processes, tools, and systems that allow us to scale the code base, productivity, and the team.

Requirements

Minimum 6+ years of professional responsive front-end development experience; Work in a collaborative environment and partner with other cross-disciplinary teams; Expert in Javascript and front-end technologies, such as TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML5, and CSS3; Extensive experience with JavaScript testing libraries, including Jest and React Testing Library; Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs with an eye for good contract design; Strong working knowledge of Figma; Heavy bias towards usability and user experience; Eligible to work in Canada.
