Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong Angular expertise to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack engineer who is equally comfortable building scalable backend services and modern front-end applications. You will work on mission-critical banking systems, contributing to secure, high-availability, and regulatory-compliant platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications using Spring Boot; Build and expose RESTful and SOAP APIs for integration with internal and external banking systems; Implement workflow-driven business processes using Flowable or Activiti; Develop and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and performance; Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ for asynchronous processing; Implement authentication and authorization using Keycloak; Ensure applications meet banking security, performance, and compliance standards; Develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using Angular; Implement UI components using PrimeNG; Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver intuitive banking user experiences; Integrate front-end applications with backend APIs; Containerize applications using Docker; Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes; Work with AWS cloud services for scalable and resilient deployments; Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins; Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews); Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, Product Owners, and Architects; Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices; Perform code reviews and enforce clean code and secure coding standards

Requirements

Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot; Hands-on experience with Angular and PrimeNG; Experience with REST and SOAP API development; Proficiency in PostgreSQL; Experience with Kafka and/or ActiveMQ; Working knowledge of Keycloak for IAM; Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; Hands-on experience with AWS; Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins); Experience implementing workflow engines (Flowable, Activiti); Comfortable working on both backend and frontend development; Strong experience working in Agile environments; Experience working on banking or financial services applications is highly preferred; Understanding of secure coding practices, data protection, and regulatory compliance; Experience with high-availability, high-performance systems

Nice to have

Microservices architecture experience; Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect; Exposure to event-driven architecture; Experience with monitoring and logging tools
