Senior Project Manager – Public Sector Digitalisation

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead medium- to large-scale digitalisation projects for public sector clients. You will own end-to-end delivery, manage complex stakeholder environments, and contribute to business growth through client relationship development and presales activities.

Responsibilities

Lead full lifecycle delivery of digital/IT transformation projects (€500K–€10M+); Manage scope, budget, timeline, quality, risks, and resources; Apply methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/Scrum, or SAFe; Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors; Report to executive stakeholders and lead governance bodies; Build and manage relationships with senior client stakeholders; Navigate complex public sector governance structures; Handle escalations, risks, and contract compliance; Identify and develop new business opportunities; Contribute to public tenders, proposals, and negotiations; Support account growth and pipeline forecasting; Manage risks, change requests, and quality standards; Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations; Coach and develop team members; Contribute to internal best practices and thought leadership

Requirements

8+ years in project management (5+ in public sector digitalisation); Proven delivery of €1M+ projects and teams of 10+; Strong knowledge of Belgian public sector (federal/regional); Certified in PRINCE2 and/or PMP, Agile experience preferred; Experience with public tenders and procurement law; Financial/project P&L management skills; Languages Dutch and/or French (professional level), English (working proficiency); Client-focused and results-driven; Strong leadership and stakeholder management; Excellent communication and negotiation skills; Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented
