Senior Project Superintendent - Data Centers

The Senior Project Superintendent provides advanced leadership and strategic oversight for large-scale and multi-site data center construction projects within the Data Center Services business unit. This role ensures project success through exceptional field leadership, resource management, and proactive collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. The Senior Superintendent serves as a mentor to other superintendents, sets performance standards, and ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Champion and enforce Network Connex’s safety culture; Lead safety audits, inspections, and reviews; Oversee and coordinate field operations across multiple sites or large-scale data center projects; Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Control Programs; Drive adherence to construction schedules, budgets, and deliverables; Manage subcontractor performance, procurement coordination, and material logistics; Review and approve short-term and long-term schedules; Lead, coach, and mentor Project and Assistant Superintendents; Assist with workforce planning, staffing, and training; Facilitate performance evaluations, career development plans, and succession planning; Serve as primary field liaison with clients; Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and vendors; Address escalated project issues and provide executive-level updates; Ensure field reports, logs, and documentation are accurately completed; Monitor cost reports, labor performance, and project forecasts; Collaborate with project management to review RFIs, change orders, and schedule impacts; Support commissioning, closeout, and handover activities

Requirements

Proven ability to lead multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously; Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and communication skills with a focus on building cohesive, high-performing teams; Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices; Strong technical expertise in data center infrastructure, low voltage systems, and mission-critical environments; Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Building Connected, MS Project); Advanced skills in scheduling, cost management, and resource allocation; Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate project needs and proactively address challenges; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and digital project management platforms; High School Diploma or GED required; Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role; Extensive experience managing mission-critical and hyperscale data center construction projects; Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary teams across geographically diverse projects; OSHA 30-Hour Certification required within six months of hire, if not already held

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field; BICSI Technician (TECH); BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD); Knowledge of all data center related systems (Electrical, Mechanical, BMS and EPMS)
