Senior Publicist, Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press (Hybrid)

The Crown Publishing Group is seeking a Senior Publicist for the Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press imprints. Reporting to the Director of Publicity, this position provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in a creative and collaborative environment. We are looking for an experienced, creative, and team-focused candidate to work on cookbooks and lifestyle titles in the pop culture, design, photography, beverage, and gardening categories. This is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities which include attendance at in-person meetings with authors and agents, staffing of author events, and accompanying authors to media engagements.

Responsibilities

Planning and execution of publicity campaigns across lists each season; Executing multi-city book tours; High-touch author care and attentive communication with authors and agents; Developing, researching, and maintaining strong media relationships; Attending and presenting at regular sales and publishing meetings

Requirements

5+ years of relevant experience in public relations or a related field; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Experience presenting in front of large groups; Strong organizational skills; Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to set priorities while managing multiple projects; Ability to work seamlessly in a team; Ability to take initiative; Excellent attention to detail; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
