Shipping Associate

The Shipping Associate will inspect, package and prepare for shipping a variety of custom exhibit, retail and environment products from Moss production. The position performs both packaging and shipping department functions.

Responsibilities

Inspect product prior to packaging for quality; Package products using kraft paper, foam, bags, cores and other materials; Make boxes using a Packsize automated box making machine; Use strapping machine to seal boxes, some large and up to 75 lbs.; Package large projects into crates and skid size boxes; Prepare shipping labels and documents using Moss business system; Schedule truck and air freight pickups as needed; Communicate with Project Managers and other internal staff in person, via email and phone regarding shipments

Requirements

Packaging or Shipping Department experience required; High school diploma or GED equivalent; Aptitude to see a custom project and determine best way to package it to protect it during shipping; Able to work in a fast paced environment; Able to lift up to 75 lbs; Stand for 8-10 hours per day; Available to work overtime on short notice

Nice to have

Knowledge of FedEx, UPS and truck shipments
