Software Engineer Cabin Management

A vacancy for a Software Engineer in Cabin Management has arisen within the Engineering Team at Airbus India in Bangalore. Airbus Cabin Electronics Engineering is responsible for the engineering, manufacturing and support of the cabin management and connectivity solutions for the Airbus aircraft programs. The new position is within the cabin software engineering team, responsible for developing and supporting high quality software products, satisfying customer needs for operating aircraft safely, securely, efficiently and contributing to an optimal crew and passenger comfort.

Responsibilities

Design, development and maintenance of software products for cabin management; Define software requirements and designs based on the system specification; Create, test and integrate software components; Create test cases and procedures (HLT, LLT); Create the software lifecycle documentation; Perform configuration and release management for software artefacts; Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team and software development; Work in an agile development team and collaborate with colleagues at other Airbus sites; Travel on occasions

Requirements

University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable; At least 8-11 years of experience in software development and integration; Common programming languages (embedded C) for bare-machine or real-time operating systems; Hardware-related software components and drivers (e.g. CAN); Experience with Agile and DevOps development practices and tools (e.g. Jira, Github, Jenkins); Good communication skills in English; Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity

Nice to have

Model-based software development tools (SCADE); Modelling languages (UML/SysML); Understanding of DO 178 B/C lifecycle and safety critical software
