Software Engineer II, Full Stack (Card Acquisition)

The Card Acquisition team is critical in bringing the product vision to life. The team drives card acquisition and growth, creating seamless and engaging experiences that attract and convert users into loyal customers, and uses the latest technologies and data-driven insights to optimize the onboarding funnel. Remote-first role; most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the country of employment.

Responsibilities

With the support of your team's tech lead and manager, break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery; Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design and analytics, participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and partnering on decisions that consider risks and trade-offs; Support the operations and availability of the team's artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting "keep the lights on" and on-call efforts; Contribute to a sense of community on the team by engaging in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process

Requirements

1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer; Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue; Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native; Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python; Ability to take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, writing clear, well tested and extensible code; Comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews; Takes ownership of growth, proactively seeking feedback from team, manager and stakeholders; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
