Responsibilities

Build and own backend services, REST APIs, and microservices from design through production.; Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable application-layer systems.; Work on distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, messaging, retries, and fault tolerance.; Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Data Science/ML, and Engineering teams.; Improve performance, reliability, observability, and engineering standards.; Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production troubleshooting.

Requirements

3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience, with experience building scalable, reliable distributed systems; Strong coding skills in Go, Java, or a similar backend language.; Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.; Experience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and event-driven systems.; Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka/SQS/RabbitMQ, and CI/CD.; Strong ownership mindset and ability to take features/services end-to-end.; Good communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
