Software Engineer, New Grad (Dec 2026)

Responsibilities

You'll work with others to plan, shape, and build new product features from start to finish: through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance; You'll help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features; You'll build internal tools to support simplicity and productivity for the whole team.

Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or another related field; To be eligible for this role, you need to graduate by Dec 2026 and be able to start FTE by January/February 2027; Previous internship experience; Working towards a proficiency of one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python; Impact-driven approach to technology; Thoughtful problem-solving; Team player; Passion for web applications: You can work with others to build and maintain quality user interfaces for a big audience, using Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a modern UI framework like React; Familiarity with backend systems: You understand how parts of a system fit together—from the user interface to the data model.

Nice to have

You have experience with any part of our technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, and Elasticsearch; You’re a builder who finds joy in building software solutions for yourself or others; You care about the interaction between technology and society, the ways in which they inform each other, and our responsibility as technologists to be conscious of that relationship; You've heard of computing pioneers like Ada Lovelace, Douglas Engelbart, Alan Kay, and others—and understand why we're big fans of their work; Familiarity with database systems like Postgres, MySQL or MongoDB is a plus.
