Sonographer II - Weekend Program

We're looking for a Sonographer II to join our Weekend Program, offering a consistent overnight schedule with strong financial incentives and full benefits from day one.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac procedures/studies; Reviews patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information; Positions patient and selects proper transducer and technical factors; Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures; Accurately identifies and labels images; Maintains records and enters patient and study information into the radiology information system; Identifies equipment performance issues; Analyzes sonograms and communicates findings to the appropriate physician; Serves as a technical resource, role model and/or preceptor for students and staff; Participates in quality improvement, patient safety or cost containment projects; Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served

Requirements

Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by ARDMS; Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by ARDMS; Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by ARDMS; Vascular Sonography (VS) registration issued by ARRT; Vascular Specialist (RVS) registration issued by CCI; Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-AE) registration with Adult Echo issued by ARDMS; Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) registration issued by CCI; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by AHA; Advanced training beyond High School that includes completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography; Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Sonographer role; Proficiency in all general and/or vascular sonographic procedures; Ability to use independent judgment; Ability to work effectively with others; Ability to communicate with patients and caregivers; Advanced knowledge of aseptic techniques; Knowledge of department, facility and organization policies; Ability to prioritize, work independently and manage simultaneous assignments; Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
