Competitive Salary: $71,000-$73,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

Job Duties Include

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine or Senior Chefs, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Completion of Rouxbe Culinary Foundations level 1 & 2. Receiving certification in both with a grade greater than 90% and 54 months (7,020 hours) experience in relevant workplaces

Responsibilities

Provide professional and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues, conducting shift briefings, and maintaining open communication with venue managers.; Ensure consistency in food preparation, follow hotel recipes and standards, and enhance food products through menu development and presentation.; Balance operational, administrative, and staffing needs, including scheduling, coaching, and mentoring culinary colleagues.; Manage inventory and ordering through Birchstreet, maintain proper food levels, and oversee labor productivity.; Handle disciplinary actions, assign daily workloads, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Certification or international equivalency; 3-4 years of culinary supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in a luxury or large kitchen environment.; Safe Food Handling Certification.; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.; Physically able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 lbs, constant standing and walking throughout shifts.; Comfortable working with kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, mixers, fryers, steamers, and freezers.
