Sr. Director, Software Engineering - B2B

Lead and grow the engineering team behind AXS's next generation of B2B tools, enabling live event customers to create, configure, sell, and manage events. The role partners with the product counterpart on product direction and underlying technology, drives a high-growth, multi-year platform roadmap, and emphasizes developing engineers and emerging leaders. The position is hands-on and uses AI to scale teams. The employer does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of high-caliber engineers, owning hiring, the development of your people, and a culture where strong engineers do their best work and stay; Own the development efforts behind the AXS event configuration tools that enable event sponsors to create and manage events through their entire lifecycle; Partner deeply with your product counterpart to shape the direction of the product and the underlying technology, from roadmap through architecture; Set technical direction and bring clarity to a fast-moving, high-growth charter, sequencing the work and derisking large initiatives; Scale the platform to meet rapidly growing demand while holding a high bar on reliability, performance, and quality; Make sound architectural decisions across a broad surface and keep the team aligned as priorities shift; Grow the next layer of engineering leadership by developing engineers and senior ICs so the team can take on more

Requirements

7+ years of technical and management leadership experience; 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building software platforms; Experience coding in .NET or Node.js; Experience working in a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment; Experience working with and deploying to cloud environments; Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools and best practices; BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience; Communicate clearly, build trust with product and cross-functional partners, and keep stakeholders aligned through ambiguity; Currently using AI tools to scale

Nice to have
