America At Work is recruiting a Staff Accountant for an established financial services organization in Lancaster, PA.

We're seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional with hands-on experience in bookkeeping, account reconciliations, general ledger transactions, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.; Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts.; Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities.; Assist with financial statements and management reports.; Track and reconcile loan-related financial transactions.; Review accounting discrepancies and maintain supporting documentation.; Assist with audits and routine accounting compliance requirements.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.; Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.; Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, equivalent practical experience considered.; Ability to work full-time, on-site in Lancaster, PA.

Nice to have

Experience in nonprofit accounting, banking, lending, credit unions, or community development organizations.
