Staff DevOps Engineer

Minitab is seeking a highly skilled Staff DevOps Engineer who will support and evolve Minitab's software delivery infrastructure and operational processes. In this position, you will lead technical initiatives to optimize deployments, improve system reliability, and scale engineering operations. You’ll also mentor other engineers and contribute to the ongoing development of our technical strategy.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines; promote infrastructure as code; ensure infrastructure reliability, testability, and security; support production systems and participate in on-call rotations; implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems; drive system reliability through root cause analysis; communicate with team members and stakeholders; provide high-quality code reviews; lead delivery of DevOps projects; develop work backlogs; contribute to long-term strategy for system architecture, cloud adoption, and operational excellence; mentor engineers and facilitate learning activities

Requirements

7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or systems administration; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience; Strong proficiency in automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions, as well as configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet; In-depth understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP; Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash; Proven track record of leading projects from inception to production; Proficiency required in speaking, reading, and writing English; Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future; Must be within commutable distance of State College, PA
