Purpose

Divergent is seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to support the next generation of industry-leading aerospace vehicle development. We’re committed to transforming vehicles’ structural systems away from traditional manufacturing by using new materials and new technologies. To do this, we need a forward-looking and innovative engineer who will help shape the future of automotive structures.

As a Staff Structures Engineer, you will lead complex structural engineering projects and support technical execution across multiple programs while serving as a domain expert within the engineering organization.

Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels E03 - E07 as evaluated through our interview process.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design and analysis activities.; Create and manage CAD models, FE models, and BOMs.; Perform advanced structural analysis, optimization, and validation.; Support manufacturing, testing, and prototype build activities.; Drive root cause investigations and continuous improvement efforts.; Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.

Requirements

BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.; 8+ years of structural engineering experience.; Strong CAD and FEA experience.; Experience with aerospace loads, lightweight structures, and advanced materials.; Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
