Staff Technical Product Manager, AI Agent

Hercules is looking for a senior or staff level product manager to own our AI coding agent.

Responsibilities

Make Hercules' AI coding agent cheaper, faster, and more accurate (pareto frontier); Own Hercules' online and offline evals; Own Hercules' entire context/harness system design (system prompt, tools, memory, skills, summarization/compression, hooks, codebase design); Leverage 100k+ users, 200k+ code repos, and millions of chat threads to guide experimentation

Requirements

Strong software fundamentals, able to code, with understanding of system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design; Product sense; Design sense with a track record of building simple UX/UI; AI context and harness engineering experience (summarization/compression, prompting, prompt caching, subagents, memory, context management, tools, async tools, deferred tools, skills); Experience building technical evals; Core stack: TypeScript, React, agent framework (e.g., AI SDK), eval platform (e.g., LangSmith); Strong grasp of AI coding and ability to 10x workflow by being on the frontier of AI coding; Operating principles: bias for action, striving for excellence, hunger to get things done
