Summer School Welfare Director

This Cambridge based organisation runs international residential summer study programs for students aged 14–18. As Welfare Director, you will play a key leadership role within the senior team, overseeing the welfare, pastoral care, and wellbeing of students throughout the summer programs. You will work closely with the Program Director, other senior staff, supervisors and external partners such as parents and medical professionals to ensure students feel safe, supported, and well-cared-for at all times.

Responsibilities

Maintain an overview of all students’ welfare and medical needs throughout the programs; Lead and support the welfare team, ensuring effective and calm operations; Ensure all safeguarding policies and welfare procedures are followed by staff and implemented consistently; Communicate regularly with the Program Director, staff, parents, medical professionals, and external parties; Uphold and promote organisational values, welfare standards, and procedures; Undertake additional duties as requested by senior leadership

Nice to have

Previous experience working in a residential setting (Highly Desirable); Knowledge of Cambridge city, colleges, and history (Desirable)
