Supply Chain Business Mgr, Lead

The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business. This position is part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) organization. As a Supplier Business Manager, you play a vital role in managing Mechatronics Suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of parts to Lam Factories and Remote Factories.

Responsibilities

Define metrics and monitor supplier performance against established scorecards and expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement and sustainability; Regularly evaluate performance benchmarks and risks associated with preferred supply base selection; Continuously work on process improvement to deploy and develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max, consignment), and manufacturing strategies; Motivate and drive the improvement of suppliers’ manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery; Establish goals with suppliers to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand; Represent supplier business management on cross-functional commodity teams to address supply challenges and satisfy internal/external customer needs; Work with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex problems to ensure on-time delivery of critical material; Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects; Work with suppliers to monitor product costs to prevent negative Part Price Variance and support cost reduction efforts; Manage Mechatronics Suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and act as key interface to supplier operations, owning their performance to Lam

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or applied sciences with 8 years of experience (or 6 years and a Master's degree, or a Ph.D with 3 years); Familiarity with semiconductors, electrical equipment, or high-technology supply chain management practices, standards, and organizations; Strong business acumen, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various levels and roles throughout the organization; Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution; Experience in Supplier Contracts & Price Negotiations for Mechatronics, Machining & Sheet Metal is a must; Result-driven self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and strong focus on supporting customers; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently in a close-knit team setting

Nice to have

At least 5 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry Experience preferred; Knowledge of supply chain management business processes and proper governance controls for factory management would be added advantage
