Tax Analyst

At MACC, we pride ourselves on fostering creativity and excellence in every aspect of our work. We are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our finance team and support our rapidly growing business. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing complex tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. As our Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the company remains fully compliant with all tax regulations.

Responsibilities

Prepare tax filings to ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including GST/HST, provincial sales tax, corporate income tax, and withholding tax for multinational transactions; Prepare internal and external tax reports, including regional and HQ tax reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission; Manage quarterly current and deferred tax provisions and ensure timely, accurate reporting, including calculations, supporting schedules, and reconciliations; Coordinate and review transfer pricing documents with tax consultants and support annual transfer pricing updates; Lead and coordinate internal and external audits related to tax matters; Work closely with external tax consultants on complex or specialized tax issues; Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company’s tax position; Perform other financial tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; Minimum 3 years of relevant tax experience; Solid knowledge of sales tax, corporate income tax, and withholding tax; Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice to have

Experience in transfer pricing and multinational tax compliance preferred; Familiarity with global tax requirements and cross-border transactions is an asset
