Tax & Assurance Associate

TKR is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We are seeking a Tax & Assurance Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities

Providing tax and consulting services such as preparing federal and state tax returns; researching relevant tax issues; communicating their impact on clients’ businesses; preparing year-end tax projections; learning to develop and deliver tax planning strategies; planning assurance engagements and preparing financial statements; conducting testing procedures; identifying and assisting in the resolution of client issues; other financial reporting matters

Requirements

BS or MS in Accounting; Solid academic performance and achievement in relevant areas of study

Nice to have

Technical accounting knowledge; Problem solving and analytical skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently; Effective time management skills; Relevant internship or work experience is helpful, but not required
