Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer, you will create and maintain user documentation, including on-line help, user guides, tutorials, release notes, and in-person training materials. You will work closely with Project Managers, Programmer Analysts, and Quality Assurance to ensure that the documentation is accurate.

Responsibilities

Translate technical information into user-friendly and grammatically correct content; Prepare/maintain software documentation for users for all formats, including on-line help; Prepare/maintain support documentation and training materials; Create and send email communications to clients, announcing software updates, maintenance windows, and required actions; Report quality issues discovered during creation of documentation to Quality Assurance Analysts; Perform all duties in a professional, responsive, and collaborative manner with coworkers and supervisors; Maintain literacy and up-to-date research on all programs and modifications; Project a positive, cooperative image as a representative of the company aiding associates, clients and other third parties whenever possible

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts/Science in Technical Communication, English, or similar degree; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Highly organized and creative with strong attention to detail; Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; Thrive on the responsibility of managing writing projects from start to finish
