Technician B

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing the repair and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles for which they are fully trained. Completes routine scheduled maintenance services on automobiles and trucks as directed by manager or service consultant. Supervisory responsibilities: None. Responsibilities

Under general supervision, performing the repair and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles; Completing routine scheduled maintenance services on automobiles and trucks as directed by manager or service consultant; Performing automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair order; Performing oil changes, tire replacement and repairs, general maintenance repairs, fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, advanced repair and maintenance services; Working with and training lower level technicians; Driving vehicles into service bay and completing digital vehicle inspection; Test driving vehicles and preparing them for delivery to customer after repairs and maintenance; Maintaining cleanliness of shop and work areas, performing other duties as necessary

Requirements

High School diploma, GED or Technical school graduate, certification; Must possess valid driver's license; 3 years minimum experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center; Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety of basic to complex repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles; Understand and consistently demonstrate the proper use of equipment and tools used in repair and maintenance and the need to maintain a clean, safe and organized work area; Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service score; Ability to prioritize and deliver work on time; Ability and basic leadership skills to mentor and train lower level Technicians; Must have own tools appropriate for their skill level for use in the Center; Must be able to work in the heat, as some locations do not have air conditioning; Must be able to maintain working on your feet in a concrete facility for the entire work shift; Standing, walking and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting and carrying automotive parts and equipment (up to approximately 80 pounds)

ASE certifications (or their equivalent): A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes, plus 2 other ASE certifications; State inspection certificate where applicable; AC 609 Certification
