Veterinary Internal Medicine Intern - Greencross Vet Hospital (GVH)

As a Medicine Intern, you'll work closely with our Internal Medicine clinicians and experienced nursing team while collaborating with experts across other disciplines. This hands-on, immersive role includes consultations and client communication, inpatient care and case management, diagnostic procedures and advanced imaging, daily hospital rounds, and weekly journal clubs and case presentations. You will be encouraged and supported to work towards ANZCVS Small Animal Medicine Membership during the internship. Start date: Mid-January 2027. Duration: 12 months.

Responsibilities

Consultations and client communication; Inpatient care and case management; Diagnostic procedures and advanced imaging; Daily hospital rounds; Weekly journal clubs and case presentations; Working closely with Internal Medicine clinicians and the nursing team; Working with experts across other disciplines

Requirements

Eligible for veterinary registration in Victoria; Holds a current radiation licence; Has strong communication skills and a solid medical knowledge base; Demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment to learning; Full working rights in Australia

Nice to have

Clinical experience; Prior completion of ANZCVS Membership examinations
