Vice President - Corporate Communications

We're looking for a Sr/Vice President of Corporate Communications to own and evolve Freshworks' narrative in the market globally, across every channel, and at every altitude. This is a rare seat: one where you're expected to think in long-term story arcs and get in the weeds on a Reddit thread or a niche IT newsletter. You'll partner directly with the C-suite, run a high-performing global team, and set the omnichannel communications strategy that fuels our growth among agile enterprises and IT leaders worldwide. This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. We want someone who takes big swings to land the Wall Street Journal and knows which Subreddits your buyers actually trust.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve Freshworks' narrative in the market globally; Define and scale corporate narrative across earned media, executive communications, social channels, influencer programming, content, and emerging LLM/AI search surfaces; Build a clear, differentiated market position; Translate complex product and business stories into sharp, accessible narratives; Own the company news calendar and global PR drumbeat; Lead a modern press office program; Build and execute an influencer strategy; Develop an executive communications engine; Ensure all executive platforms connect to corporate strategy; Bring a forward-looking perspective on communications evolution; Build a track record of shaping how Freshworks appears in AI-generated responses; Champion use of AI tools and workflows within comms; Serve as communications lead on Escalation Response Team; Monitor global signals; Build sophisticated measurement framework; Deliver executive-facing reporting; Use data for real-time pivots; Lead, develop, and inspire global team of communications professionals; Partner closely with VP of Brand, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Investor Relations, Legal; Build strong relationships with C-suite

Requirements

15+ years in corporate communications, with 5+ years leading a global function at a B2B technology company; Deep experience with challenger brands and category-defining moments; Proven track record managing communications at a publicly traded company or during high-stakes moments (IPO, M&A, earnings, product pivots); Fluent in omnichannel storytelling; Media savvy with real relationships; Social channel expertise; AI-native communications; Sophisticated measurement methodology; Strong executive presence; Bias toward creative, unconventional thinking; Thrive in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment; Comfortable in a sprint and strategy session; Energized by challenger brand mindset; Good vibes and collaborative spirit
