Video Editor (Milan)

We're looking for a Video Editor to own Eight Sleep's athlete storytelling end to end, from finding the story inside the footage to delivering the final cut. You'll work across everything from reactive same-day social to cinematic athlete films.

Own Eight Sleep's athlete storytelling end to end; Work across reactive same-day social to cinematic athlete films; Develop content concepts for sports and athlete storytelling across formats; Identify the story within existing footage; Contribute to pre-production planning; Edit video content across global output; Handle colour, sound, and motion; Deliver to platform-specific requirements

Requirements

Develop content concepts for sports and athlete storytelling across formats; Identify the story within existing footage (rushes, BTS material, event coverage, athlete access); Contribute to pre-production planning; Think natively across formats and lengths; Understand how to work within the world of YouTube; Edit video content across Eight Sleep's global output; Work across DaVinci or Premiere Pro and After Effects with genuine proficiency; Handle colour, sound, and motion with craft knowledge; Deliver to platform-specific requirements; Comfortable working with any type of footage (iPhone, RED/ARRI, GoPro); Able to operate across full production spectrum; Understand the relationship between capture and edit; Three to five years of experience in sports, brand, or editorial video content; Portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and editing craft; Reel showing range; Sports-literate; Video-first in thinking; Socially fluent; Fast without being careless; Autonomous and self-directed; Based in Milan or genuinely open to it; Comfortable travelling to races, shoots, and events across Europe
