Wait staff

You will be responsible for taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. As a Waitstaff, you will promptly and warmly greet guests, take food and beverages following established steps of service, deliver food promptly and professionally, maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards, demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advise guests on appropriate combinations, communicate with back-of-the-house staff, address complaints, ensure the dining room is set up before and after service, and work with other departments during special events.

Responsibilities

Taking food and beverage orders and delivering items to dining room guests; Promptly and warmly greeting guests in the dining room; Taking food and beverages following established steps of service; Delivering food promptly and professionally and maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards; Following up periodically to assist with additional needs; Demonstrating complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; Advising guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks and accommodating reasonable requests; Demonstrating knowledge of specialized diets; Communicating directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly; Promptly addressing complaints or issues and relaying information to supervisor; Ensuring the dining room is properly set up before and after service and keeping the area clean; Working with staff of other departments during special events and functions

Requirements

Previous experience in the food services industry; Exceptional communications skills and ability to get along well with others; Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items, and stand/walk for majority of shift
