Wellness Partner

Wellness Partners are at the heart of enriching the lives of residents, doing everything with kindness and purpose. Each day you will work in partnership with residents to support their personal care needs and encourage resident-led decision making. Wellness Partners encourage residents to maintain skills and a sense of independence. Resident welfare is important, and you will also be required to observe, accurately document, and communicate health conditions. Participation in ongoing training is expected. Arvida is a company that develops and operates communities providing independent living and aged care services to older New Zealanders, with a resident-led approach.

Responsibilities

Support residents' personal care needs; Encourage resident-led decision making in eating, resting, movement, communication, and activities; Encourage residents to maintain skills and a sense of independence; Observe, accurately document, and communicate health conditions; Participate in ongoing training

Requirements

Enjoyment in interacting with older people and participating in meaningful work; Commitment to a high standard of performance with diligence and care; Ability to work within a team that respects residents and team members; Honesty, integrity, high energy, physical fitness, and enthusiasm; Good customer service, organisation, and problem-solving skills; Availability to work rostered shifts including weekends and nights; NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification, or at least two years of relevant experience (Arvida Level 1 to Level 3); NZQF Level 4 qualification or at least three years of experience (Arvida Level 3 to Level 4); Evidence of English test required if from overseas; Submit a CV and a cover letter outlining what you bring to the role and your fit to the Attitude of Living Well approach
