Workshop Fitter

Motion is seeking an experienced Workshop Fitter in Mackay for a full-time, permanent role. The successful candidate will work across a diverse range of automotive, commercial, off-highway and industrial driveline applications, using fitting, machining and welding skills. The role suits a mechanically minded professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety and precision.

Responsibilities

Build, repair and recondition driveshafts for automotive, commercial, off-highway and industrial applications; Machine and modify driveline components; Assemble, weld and balance driveshafts; Complete general workshop duties as required; Maintain a safe, clean and efficient workshop environment

Requirements

Proven fitting and machining experience gained in a workshop environment; Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail; Experience operating manual lathes and welding equipment; A flexible, proactive approach to changing priorities and workshop tasks; Commitment to safe work practices and quality outcomes; Willingness to participate in training and develop new skills; A team-first attitude and willingness to contribute to shared business goals; Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa
