ABAP AI Developer

Conduct is building the AI layer for operating complex ERP/IT setups. The role combines ABAP development with AI agent and harness design, product direction, and customer work. The team is small and based in NYC. The stack includes ABAP, React, Vite, TanStack, Kotlin backend, Temporal, PortKey, and a specialised LLM harness.

Responsibilities

Write custom ABAP reports to integrate ABAP-based systems with the Conduct platform; Develop AI agents that execute ABAP development tasks; Contribute to product direction and implementation; Speak to customers and shape product direction; Ship software that runs inside complex enterprise environments; Develop software across the stack, including the connector in ABAP

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on ABAP and SAP development experience (technical consultant, ABAP developer, solutions architect, or similar); Understanding of how SAP systems are structured beneath the surface: data models, BAPIs, IDocs, function modules, enhancement frameworks; Experience working within or alongside large SAP implementations and migrations; Eagerness to work beyond ABAP, including writing AI agents, backend and frontend, infrastructure; Strong, pragmatic engineering instincts and care about code that holds up in production at enterprise scale
