Accounting Consultant – Engagement Director

CLA is looking to hire Accounting Consultants (Engagement Directors) for its Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS). CAAS provides customized accounting support for clients (typically larger than $50M) on an interim and project basis. The role offers flexibility, variety, and the ability to pick and choose engagements.

Responsibilities

Serve as a high-level interim or project-based accounting resource for clients in various industries on accounting, finance, tax, and audit roles; Design/improve accounting processes such as monthly close, management and financial reporting, forecasting, consolidations, and system implementations; Take an active and hands-on approach in executing client engagements; Travel to clients as opportunities arise

Requirements

8 years relevant work experience including public accounting; A bachelor's degree is required (combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree); Mastery in Microsoft Excel; Experience in a variety of accounting software

Nice to have

10+ years of experience preferred; Prior industry experience as a CFO, Controller, SEC Reporting or Internal Audit Manager equivalent; Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field; CPA certification; Prior project management experience; Exceptional client service management experience; Big Four experience
