Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role will manage core accounting processes, maintain internal controls, and support strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Responsibilities

Own the day-to-day accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management; Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements; Maintain accurate financial records and prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports; Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards; Establish and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies to support a scaling startup; Implement and optimize accounting systems, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and reporting; Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and insights; Monitor key financial metrics and analyze variances to help leadership understand company performance; Partner with leadership and operational teams to ensure financial processes align with business needs; Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory partners for audits, filings, and compliance

Requirements

5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience; CPA or equivalent certification; Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards; Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, with preference for Sage Intacct; Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability; You thrive in fast-paced environments; You are ambitious; You are curious; You are an owner; You are collaborative, organized, thoughtful, and kind

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Prior public accounting or Big Four experience; Experience in a high-growth startup or venture backed companies; Experience in B2B SaaS and/or AI industry; Experience supporting audits, investor reporting, or fundraising diligence; Experience with international or multinational environment
