Application Engineer

Our client is a leading asset manager within the digital assets industry that offers a variety of public and private investment products.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end application performance, scalability, and uptime across the platform; Architect and develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs that support business-critical functionality; Ensure code quality, maintainability, and extensibility through best practices and thoughtful design; Develop and manage integrations that connect frontend applications with backend services and data systems; Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to provide visibility into system performance; Partner closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions; Support infrastructure, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; 5-10 years of experience within financial services, fintech, and/or digital assets; Comfortable owning production systems end-to-end; Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript including React and Next.js; Backend development experience using Node.js and/or Python; Experience with cloud infrastructure built on AWS including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and related services
