Applied AI Engineer

Full-time On-site work

Publication date: 03/11/2026

Legora is redefining how legal work gets done, building an AI-native workspace for legal professionals. The AI Enablement team makes Legora AI-native by default, building internal agents and tools, equipping teams to build their own, and owning the standards, access and guardrails that let everyone move fast safely. The team currently owns Leya (an internal knowledge agent in Slack), Leyf (a platform for internally built apps), and a Skills Hub. Position is based in Stockholm HQ, full-time, onsite five days a week.

Responsibilities

Take broad ownership of how AI works inside Legora and of the platforms built to make it work; Build internal agents, tools and platforms, treating them as products rather than projects; Take a broad goal, determine what is required, and break it into work; Own what is built end to end, from architecture through adoption and production reliability; Shape what to build and in what order, and argue for it; Design the foundations: knowledge architecture, access and permissions, evaluation and monitoring, and guardrails that scale with risk; Work directly with the people who will use what is built, across the whole company

Requirements

Strong engineering fundamentals, building production systems rather than prototypes; Real depth with LLM-based systems (agents, retrieval, evaluation, tool use) and knowing where they break; Ownership by instinct, proposing better requirements when they are unclear or wrong; Technical, domain and business understanding; Openness to feedback and changing one's mind when evidence moves; Comfort with ambiguity in a new, fast-growing team; TypeScript; No aversion to infrastructure, including Terraform and cloud providers; Working with code agents daily
