ASME Tig Welder

Our client is seeking experienced ASME Tig Welders to travel between Williamsport, MD and Winchester, VA. This is a full-time temp to perm opportunity.

Responsibilities

Successfully pass an ASME 6G 2" Carbon Steel GTAW Pipe Test; Perform butt and socket welds on stainless-steel process piping (SCH 10, SCH 40, SCH 80) in various positions and heights; Set up welding rigs according to environmental conditions and materials used; Work effectively in diverse industrial environments, maintaining flexibility to adapt to both clean and dirty conditions; Commit to a full-time schedule (typically 40 hours per week) with potential overtime, including night shifts as needed

Requirements

2-5 years of construction experience in TIG welding, preferably in an industrial setting; Proven ability to pass ASME Section IX Pipe Test with X-Ray certification; Successfully pass an ASME 6G 2" Carbon Steel GTAW Pipe Test; Familiarity with ASME codes and standards; Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints; U.S. citizenship or verified Green Card status; reliable transportation and active driver's license required

Nice to have

ASME 6G 6" Carbon Steel SMAW certification; experience in MIG and stick welding
