Assembler 1, General (Press Operator) for a rubber molding facility in Sumter, SC. This role involves conducting quality checks on rubber stopper pads and operating a heated press machine. 2 positions available.

Responsibilities

Conduct quality checks on rubber stopper pads; Operate a heated press machine; Use a mallet hammer and other hand tools; Perform fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging tasks for medical devices; Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment; Conduct quality inspections on the processing line per quality specifications; Work within clearly defined SOPs and adhere to quality guidelines; Communicate effectively with coworkers and Team Lead/Supervisor; Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed

Requirements

0 to 5 years of relevant experience; Zero (0) to one (1) year of manufacturing assembly experience required; Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications written in English; Basic math calculation skills; Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes; Good attention to detail; Ability to work well in a team environment; Comfortable using hand tools (mallet hammer, etc.); High School Diploma or equivalent required; Must pass eye exam; Steel toe or composite-toe shoes required; Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; Background check must clear (may start with background pending); Willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment; Willing to work H-Shift schedule (3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off, including weekends)
