Assistant Manager

We're looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support the General Manager, lead from the front and help make The Albion a pub to be proud of.

Responsibilities

Support the General Manager with daily operations; Lead shifts and keep everything running smoothly; Motivate and inspire the team to deliver excellent hospitality and create a welcoming atmosphere; Make every guest visit memorable; Help manage sales, labour costs, stock and profitability; Coach and support team members to build confidence and progress in their careers; Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, compliance and the overall presentation of the pub; Build a positive team culture where people feel supported, valued and motivated; Cover the business in the General Manager's absence when required

Requirements

A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences; Strong leadership and people-management skills; A hands-on approach and the confidence to lead by example; Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, costs and profitability; Excellent organisation and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment; A positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop your team; Eligibility to hold a Personal Licence (not required at time of application)

Nice to have

Previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality, such as a pub, restaurant or similar environment; Readiness to take the next step in your career
