Assistant Professor, Psychology

The School of Psychology at Xavier University invites applications for one full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning Fall 2027. The position will support our APA-accredited clinical psychology doctoral (Psy.D.) program and our undergraduate psychology major.

Responsibilities

Teach in undergraduate and graduate psychology programs (18 credit hours annually when active scholarship requirements are met); develop a program of research; mentor graduate and undergraduate research; provide service within the School of Psychology and University; may provide clinical supervision to Psy.D. students

Requirements

Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or related program; licensed or license-eligible in the state of Ohio (Ohio license expected within one year of hire)

Nice to have

Expertise in development, children, and/or adolescents; capable of teaching and supervising cognitive assessment; training in clinical neuropsychology; interest in teaching statistics and research methods and/or supervising undergraduate research and doctoral dissertations
