Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.); Work with store manager to ensure retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak retail business hours; Assist store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring team members stay current on training; Assist in hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates; Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds issued accurately, returned merchandise processed or staged correctly; Ensure merchandise including core charges and warranties are invoiced before product leaves store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies, posted work schedules, and clocking in/out; Perform store opening/closing duties including day end procedures, deposits, security, locks, alarms, and delivery vehicles; Assist store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, computer hardware, equipment, and delivery vehicles

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
