Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom; Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak retail business hours; Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training is current; Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates; Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner; Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds are issued accurately; Ensure merchandise is invoiced before product leaves the store; Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks; Ensure team members comply with company policies, schedules, and clock-in/out procedures; Perform store opening/closing duties including day end procedures, deposits, security, alarms, and delivery vehicle checks; Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, computer hardware, service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates
