Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead store team members in servicing customers; Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on retail showroom and team member execution on customer service programs; Work with store manager to ensure retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak retail business hours; Assist store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on individual training; Assist in hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates; Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner; Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently; Ensure retail customer returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds are issued accurately, and returned merchandise is processed or staged correctly; Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed; Make sure team members comply with company policies, work schedules, and timekeeping; Perform all store opening/closing duties including day end procedures, deposits, security, and building lockup; Assist store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Bilingual; Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
