Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead the store team members in servicing customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom; Ensure retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours; Assist store manager in setting team member goals, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training; Assist in hiring process by recruiting, interviewing, evaluating candidates; Ensure telephone answered according to company policy; Ensure online/ship-to-store, hub, store-to-store transfers processed timely; Ensure special orders and outside purchases handled efficiently; Ensure retail returns/exchanges processed efficiently; Ensure merchandise invoiced before leaving store; Ensure Zipline messages communicated and merchandising tasks completed; Make sure team members comply with company policies; Perform store opening/closing duties; Assist store manager in maintaining store building, parking lot, signage, hardware, equipment, vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
