Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers.

Responsibilities

Support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations; Manage the store during the Store Manager's absence and/or when working opposing shifts; Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers; Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution of customer service programs; Ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak hours; Set team member goals, provide feedback, coach/mentor team members, and ensure training is current; Assist in the hiring process, including recruiting, interviews, and evaluating candidates; Ensure telephones are answered according to company policy; Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers are contacted on arrival as needed; Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases; Ensure retail returns and exchanges are processed efficiently, refunds are issued accurately, and returned merchandise is handled correctly; Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before leaving the store; Ensure Zipline messages are communicated and Image Maker and merchandising tasks are delegated and completed; Ensure team members comply with company policies on scheduling, approved deviations, and clocking in/out; Perform store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, cash deposits, security, and alarms; Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, computer hardware, service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles; All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Sales Specialist Training; Assistant Manager Certification; RSS Certification

Nice to have

Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired); Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
