Assistant Store Manager (Sur La Table)

As an Assistant Store Manager at Sur La Table, you play a key role in the success of the store by assisting a high-performing retail team that inspires customers throughout every stage of their culinary experience. Responsibilities

Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development of high-performing team; Provide coaching and feedback to ensure outstanding customer experience; Assist in development plans for individual and team growth; Represent Sur La Table's brand and culture by creating memorable educational experiences; Maintain expertise by staying current on products and training; Ensure exceptional customer experience by leading a Guest Obsessed culture; Address customer concerns and resolve issues; Partner with General/Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to exceed sales and financial goals; Analyze daily performance metrics and drive results; Meet or exceed monthly sales goals; Assist with daily store operations and compliance; Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize shrink; Ensure store safety and cleanliness; Maintain accuracy of associate records; Adhere to wage and hour laws; Model and ensure Sur La Table policies and SOPs are followed

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older; 1-2 years of retail management experience; Proven track record of achieving sales and motivating high performing sales teams; Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team; Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences; Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively; Ability to remain standing for up to 5 hours; Ability to move about the store; Ability to lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs; Ability to operate a computer, POS system, keyboards, merchandise scanners and mouse; Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; Regular and predictable attendance
