Audit Semi Senior

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (South Africa) (CA(SA)), who is either nearing qualification or recently qualified to join our team.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and deliver audit assignments from planning through to completion; Prepare and review audit files in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA); Identify key audit risks and perform appropriate audit testing; Draft audit reports, management letters and completion documentation; Liaise directly with UK clients to resolve audit queries and provide exceptional service; Review work completed by junior team members and provide coaching where required; Build strong working relationships with clients through regular communication; Manage your workload effectively while meeting agreed deadlines; Work collaboratively with colleagues across the UK and South Africa; Contribute to continuous improvements in audit methodology and internal processes; Share knowledge and support the development of junior team members

Requirements

Suits a soon-to-be-qualified / recently qualified with up to 2 years’ experience, CA(SA) with completed SAICA articles (Advantageous); Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards; Experience and involvement in audit assignments from planning through to completion; Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills; High attention to detail and professional judgement; Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment

Nice to have

Experience within a small or mid-tier accounting practice; Exposure to UK clients or UK GAAP (beneficial but not essential); Experience using CaseWare, CCH, Xero, QuickBooks or similar accounting software
