Backend Developer (Java)

Our client is the leading online booking platform for winter sports and outdoor activities in Europe. They are looking for a motivated Junior Backend Developer to become an integral part of their product team.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the development team to implement features and maintain the backend architecture; Assist in the development of new applications and features with end-to-end involvement under the guidance of senior team members; Write and maintain integration and unit tests to ensure the delivery of reliable and high-quality software; Support efforts to optimize the performance, security, and scalability of the platform; Learn and stay updated with current technology trends and best practices to contribute effectively to the team’s goals; Take part in code reviews, actively seek feedback, and continuously improve your coding skills

Requirements

2 years of professional experience in Java development; Exposure to Spring framework or willingness to learn it quickly; Basic knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and SQL querying; Interest in improving coding standards, processes, and tools in collaboration with the team; Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on new challenges; Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment; Fluency in English as the working language
