Backend Developer Level III

Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale large-scale distributed systems supporting enterprise fulfillment platforms. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on Node.js , TypeScript, Azure, microservices, and distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will have recent production experience building and operating resilient cloud-native backend systems and be comfortable with scalability, reliability, messaging, observability, failure handling, and production support.
Must-Have Qualifications

- 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience

- Strong, recent Node.js backend development

- Strong TypeScript development experience

- Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems

- Meaningful, recent Microsoft Azure experience

- Strong REST API development experience

- Experience with microservices/service-oriented architectures

- Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architectures

- Strong understanding of distributed-system concepts:

- Scalability

- High availability

- Fault tolerance

- Idempotency

- Retry strategies

- Eventual consistency

- Service-to-service communication

- Failure recovery

- Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience

- Experience writing clean, maintainable, well-tested production code

- Production application troubleshooting and support experience

- Strong understanding of reliability, resilience, and observability

- Ability to make engineering decisions within established architecture

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
